Preserve and expand consciousness.
To preserve and expand consciousness means we need more people.
A sustained baby boom to TFR ≈ 5 is not mainly a "birth" problem; it is a "capacity to carry dependents" problem. Healthspan is the mechanism that creates that capacity without triggering economic collapse.
Without healthspan extension, you get more children (higher child dependency) plus more frail elderly (rising aged dependency). This is the "double-dependency trap": fiscal overload forces higher taxes, lower household disposable income, worse housing affordability, stressed healthcare systems, and political backlash. That backlash kills fertility.
Healthspan breaks the trap by converting older adults from "dependents" into "contributors." It prevents a double-dependency trap, maintains the tax base and workforce while the baby cohort is dependent, provides the caregiving layer needed for repeated childbearing, stops healthcare costs from crowding out child investment, and makes high fertility behaviorally and physically repeatable.
Our goal is to increase the average human healthspan to 100 years.
Our goal is to increase human population to 100 billion within 100 years.
This requires triggering a baby boom where on average women have 5 children (TFR ≈ 5).
Wallace's strategy combines reproductive technologies, government alignment, and special family-first communities. A sustained baby boom requires high adult productivity and low non-productive burden during the transition. Healthspan (Part A) is the prerequisite that enables Part B. Without healthspan extension, the baby boom collapses under economic and caregiving load before it can compound.
